An early-intervention approach for growing children. Removable appliances and daily exercises work on causes of crowding such as mouth breathing and tongue position, rather than moving adult teeth.

What does orthodontic treatment cost?
Clear aligners and braces both start from $4,500 per arch at Magical Smiles Bacchus Marsh, and Myobrace is priced once we've assessed your child. Your final figure depends on how many teeth need to move, how long treatment runs and which clear aligner or brace system you choose. Treatment is often spread over one to three years, which is why many families use a payment plan or claim part of it through their health fund.

Your exact cost depends on your case and the system you choose, and you'll receive it in writing after your assessment. Repayment figures are illustrative and use Humm/NDP's own plan-fee formula for the term selected, so Humm's fees are already included. Finance depends on Humm's own eligibility criteria and approval.

Around age seven is a common time for a first orthodontic check, because a mix of baby and adult teeth makes early crowding or bite problems easier to spot. Not every child needs early treatment. We look at your child's growth and habits and tell you whether it makes sense to start now or wait.
There's no strict age limit. Adults can have orthodontic treatment at any age, provided their teeth and gums are healthy. Adult treatment can take a little longer because the jaw has finished growing, and many adults look at clear aligners because they are less visible at work.
It depends on how much movement is needed, the system you choose and how closely you follow the plan. Many patients finish within 12 to 36 months, and simpler cases can be shorter. We give you an estimated timeframe after your assessment.
No. The Child Dental Benefits Schedule does not cover orthodontic treatment such as braces or clear aligners. Private health funds may cover part of the cost depending on your policy, and we can give you an itemised treatment plan to check with your fund before you start.
