Fastbraces in Bacchus Marsh
Fastbraces are fixed braces with a differently shaped bracket and a specially designed archwire. At Magical Smiles Bacchus Marsh they start from $4,500 per arch and are one of three brace options we offer.
What are Fastbraces?
Fastbraces are a fixed brace system. Like other braces, a bracket is bonded to each tooth and joined by an archwire. The difference is the design: the brackets are shaped differently and the wire is specially designed, with the aim of moving the crown and root of each tooth together from earlier in treatment, rather than moving the crown first as some conventional systems do.
Are Fastbraces faster than traditional braces?
Orthodontic treatment to straighten teeth can take 18 months or more, because teeth need to move gradually into alignment, according to healthdirect (page reviewed November 2024). For some cases, Fastbraces may shorten overall treatment compared with some traditional systems. Whether they would in your case, and by how much, depends on your teeth and bite, so we only give you a timeframe after an assessment. Treatment still involves regular adjustment visits and a retainer afterwards.
Are Fastbraces right for you?
Fastbraces are one option alongside metal braces and ceramic braces. At your consultation at our Gisborne Road clinic we assess your crowding, spacing and bite, check your teeth and gums are healthy enough to start, and explain which system suits your case — including when Fastbraces isn't the right choice.
Common questions
How much do Fastbraces cost in Bacchus Marsh?
Fastbraces at Magical Smiles Bacchus Marsh start from $4,500 per arch, the same starting price as our other braces. Your final cost depends on your case, and you receive a detailed written quote before treatment starts.
How long does treatment with Fastbraces take?
It depends on your teeth, your bite and how closely you follow the care instructions. Fastbraces may shorten treatment for some cases, but we only give you a specific timeframe after we've assessed your teeth, not before.
Are Fastbraces suitable for everyone?
No. Fastbraces suit some cases and not others. We assess your crowding, spacing and bite at a consultation and explain whether Fastbraces, metal braces, ceramic braces or clear aligners make more sense for you.
Do I need a retainer after Fastbraces?
Yes. As with any braces, a retainer helps hold your teeth in their new position once the brackets come off. We explain how long and how often to wear it, and follow-up check-ups help catch any shifting early.

Orthodontics & alignment.
