A smile makeover in Bacchus Marsh starts with a plan, not a procedure.

If you've spent years covering your mouth when you laugh, you know how much quiet effort that takes. A smile makeover consultation at our Gisborne Road clinic is a calm conversation about what's possible for your teeth, and what order it could happen in. No commitment. No pressure.

No obligation · your first consultation, about 45 minutes

You're not the only one

The thing you notice every time you see a photo.

Maybe it's a tooth that sits crooked, or one that chipped years ago. Maybe a few have worn down or gone darker than they used to be. Whatever it is, you probably know which one your eye goes to first, and you've learned to smile around it.

A smile makeover is a plan built from the options that suit your teeth, in an order that makes sense. For example, whitening often comes before veneers so the new work can be matched to your lighter shade. The porcelain veneers page explains one common part of that plan in detail.

What actually changes

When did you last laugh in a photo without checking it afterwards?

For most people it isn't really about teeth. It's about saying yes to the group photo, or laughing in a meeting without a hand drifting up to your mouth.

We can't promise a particular result, because every smile is different and good cosmetic dentistry is planned carefully. What we can do is explain what's realistic for you, calmly and clearly, so the decision feels like yours.

What a makeover can include

Built from the pieces that suit you.

A smile makeover is a combination, not a single treatment. These are the building blocks we talk through most often. You won't need all of them.

01 / Brighten

Teeth Whitening

In-chair or take-home whitening to lighten staining from food, drinks and time. It usually comes first, so any later work can be matched to the new shade.

02 / Reshape

Composite Veneers

Tooth-coloured resin shaped onto the tooth, usually in one visit. A conservative way to soften chips, gaps and uneven edges.

03 / Refine

Porcelain Veneers

Lab-made porcelain shells that resist staining, fitted over two visits. The enamel removed to fit them cannot be replaced.

04 / Rebuild

Dental Crowns

A full cover for a worn, cracked or heavily filled tooth, restoring its strength and shape.

05 / Replace

Bridges & Implants

Two ways to replace a missing tooth: a bridge held by crowns on the teeth beside the gap, or an implant with a crown on top.

06 / Align

Braces / Aligners

When teeth are crowded or rotated, your dentist may suggest straightening them with Invisalign, ClearCorrect or braces before any cosmetic work.

Prices are indicative only and depend on your individual needs: the number of teeth, the materials and any preparation involved. Your plan and its cost are confirmed in writing at your consultation, before you commit to anything.

A calm, light-filled waiting space at Magical Smiles

An unhurried first visit, with time for your questions.

What actually happens

Your first visit is a conversation, nothing more.

You don't need to wait years for a smile you feel good about. You also don't need to decide anything on the first day.

1

We listen and examine

You tell us what bothers you and what you'd love to change. We check your teeth and gums, because decay or gum disease needs treatment before cosmetic work, and we explain what's realistic.

2

We map out your options

Using Digital Smile Design and 3D imaging where useful, we show the possible paths in a sensible order with indicative costs. If managing the cost matters, we explain Afterpay, Zip, Humm and the National Dental Plan.

3

You decide in your own time

There's no pressure to book on the day. When you're ready, whether that's next week or next year, we book the first step at our Bacchus Marsh clinic.

Be honest with yourself

Is a first consultation actually for you?

No hard sell here, just a chance to see whether this fits you.

This is for you if…

  • —You've wanted to do something about your smile for years, but assumed it would cost too much to ask.
  • —You've held back because you worried about being judged.
  • —You'd like to know whether a smaller, staged plan could work.
  • —You'd simply like to understand what's possible before deciding anything.

It's probably not for you if…

  • —You want an overnight change with no conversation first. Careful cosmetic work is planned, not rushed.
  • —You're not ready to talk it through yet. That's fine. Come back when you are.
  • —You'd rather guess the cost than ask. A first consult replaces the guess with a written answer.
Making it manageable

Understand the options before you decide.

Know the numbers before you decide anything.

For many people the barrier was never wanting it. It was wondering how to manage the cost. A staged plan can spread treatment over time, and payment plans through Afterpay, Zip, Humm or the National Dental Plan can spread the cost, subject to each provider's approval. Eligible health fund amounts can be claimed on the spot through HICAPS.

Need help affording care? SuperCare may be an option.

SuperCare is an external service that helps some patients apply to access superannuation for clinically necessary treatment. Eligibility is decided by the Australian Taxation Office, not by our clinic, and early release permanently reduces your retirement savings, so get independent financial advice first. Learn more

A gentle question

If nothing changes, where will you be in six months?

The same hesitation? The same closed-mouth photos? Finding out what's possible takes one conversation. When you're ready, here's how to start.

Good questions

The things people usually ask.

A smile makeover is a treatment plan, not a single procedure. It combines only the cosmetic or restorative treatments your teeth need, such as whitening, bonding, veneers, crowns or straightening, in a sensible order. At Magical Smiles Bacchus Marsh it starts with an examination and a planning conversation, and nothing is booked until you have a written plan.
It depends entirely on which treatments your plan includes and how many teeth are involved. Each treatment is priced separately. As at September 2026, indicative starting figures in our estimator include $650 for TouchWhite laser whitening, $695 per composite veneer and $1,700 per porcelain veneer or crown. After your examination you receive an itemised written quote, and payment plans are available subject to each provider's approval.
It's a relaxed appointment of about 45 minutes at our Gisborne Road clinic. We examine your teeth and gums, listen to what you'd like to change and explain your options. Digital Smile Design can help you picture proposed changes. There is no obligation to proceed, and costs are explained before you decide anything.
It depends on the treatments in your plan. Whitening or composite bonding can often be done in one or two visits. Porcelain veneers and lab-made crowns usually take two visits with temporaries in between, and implants or straightening take months. We map out a realistic timeline with you at the consultation.
Most cosmetic procedures involve pressure or mild, short-lived sensitivity rather than sharp pain, though experiences vary. Local anaesthetic is used where it is needed, and our clinic uses The Wand, which delivers anaesthetic at a slow, controlled rate. If you feel anxious, tell us and we can discuss sedation options.

Clinical perspective

Your plan should be individual.

Where plans often start

Small repairs first, bigger changes later.

Many makeover plans begin with a single tooth. Composite bonding can soften a chip, a small gap or a worn edge in one visit, and as at September 2026 our estimator starts it at $250 per tooth.

When several front teeth need to match, veneers usually join the conversation. How veneers can change your smile walks through the four main types and each step from consultation to bonding.
