The approach

Care that begins with listening.

Dr. Rachna's approach rests on three ideas: good dentistry looks at the whole person, not just the tooth; you deserve to understand your options before any plan is agreed; and the decision about your smile is always yours.

You can get to know our Bacchus Marsh dentists through their individual profiles. For another perspective on clear communication and careful assessment, read Dr. Amolak Deep's biography.

The profile of Dr. Christian Eskander covers his restorative and cosmetic work, and Dr. Ankita Morjaria's biography explains her interest in preventive and restorative care.

01 — Examine

Look at the whole picture, not just the symptom.

Some dental concerns, such as crowding, recurring decay, jaw tension or mouth breathing, can be linked to habits, airway function or the muscles around the mouth. Dr. Rachna's training in oral myology means she looks for these contributing factors as part of your assessment.

02 — Educate

Explain it the way you'd want it explained.

No jargon and no pressure. Dr. Rachna walks you through what she sees, what the options are, and what each one involves, including cost, so you can make an informed choice about your smile.

03 — Empower

Choose the plan that suits you.

Where clinically appropriate, options such as laser dentistry, single-visit crowns and clear aligners may be part of your plan. Dr. Rachna explains the benefits, risks and alternatives of each so the final decision is yours.

Clinical interests

Where Dr. Rachna's focus lies.

Dr. Rachna is registered as a general dentist with the Dental Board of Australia. Her clinical areas of focus include single-visit crowns, veneers, root canal therapy, orthodontics and full or partial dentures. Suitability for any procedure is assessed case by case.

Laser dentistry01

Laser-assisted gum, root canal and aesthetic care.

Dr. Rachna holds laser dentistry certificates, including the Advanced Certified Educational Program of Laser Dentistry Research and Review, and has trained as a Dental Laser Safety Officer. At Bacchus Marsh, laser dentistry may be used for gum treatment, root canal therapy, gum contouring and whitening where it suits your care.

Cosmetic dentistry02

Veneers, crowns and smile design.

Training in Photoshop Smile Design, anterior composite workshops and CEREC single-visit ceramics helps Dr. Rachna plan cosmetic work carefully, starting with a clear conversation about what you'd like to change and what is realistic for your teeth.

Myofunctional therapy03

Looking at the muscles, the airway, the habits.

Through courses in oral myology, myofunctional orthodontics, tongue ties and the combined TMJ, OSA and myofunctional orthodontic course, Dr. Rachna can discuss how tongue posture, breathing patterns and oral habits may be contributing to a concern, and what options exist.

Orthodontics04

Clear aligners, braces and interceptive options.

A Fellow in Orthodontics (FICCDE) and a certified provider of Invisalign, ClearCorrect and Inman Aligner, with foundational training through Progressive Orthodontic Seminars, Dr. Rachna discusses orthodontic options for teens and adults, and Myobrace for younger children where appropriate.

Dental sleep medicine05

Snoring, mild sleep apnoea and bruxism.

Training in dental sleep medicine, including Dr. Harry Ball's course on snoring, sleep apnoea and bruxism and the Personal Growth Events systematic approach, helps Dr. Rachna assess whether a custom-made mouthguard that moves the jaw forward may help with snoring or sleep apnoea symptoms.

Further training06

Aesthetic science and digital scanning.

Dr. Rachna's further training includes an International Fellowship in Advanced Aesthetic Science, a Laser in Dentofacial Rejuvenation course and the Straumann TRIOS Masterclass in digital scanning. Ask at your consultation how any of this relates to your own care.

Dr. Rachna Yadav, Principal Dentist at Magical Smiles Bacchus Marsh
A short word from Dr. Rachna

Dentistry, the way I'd want it for my family.

"I want Magical Smiles Bacchus Marsh to be the kind of dental practice I'd bring my own family to. A place that takes time. A place that explains. A place where your dentistry is part of a wider conversation about your health, your habits and your goals."

"My training has taken me through orthodontics, laser dentistry, oral myology and dental sleep medicine. Dental lasers, myofunctional therapy, single-visit crowns, clear aligners are tools that, used thoughtfully and where they suit you, can be part of a plan we agree on together."

"If something has been on your mind, whether it's a chipped tooth, a clicking jaw or a child who breathes through their mouth at night, come in and tell me about it. We'll look at it properly and talk through your options."
